TRAVEL INFORMATION FOR THE 2012 OLYMPICS

The pdf below is a link to "London 2012 Games Transport" it also gives detailed information and maps on all Road and Public Transport showing the "Hotspots".
The sub heading is "Open for Business" but during the meeting we attended TFL were honest enough to say there will be long delays and if you are in London in the evening,  stay till late to get home on Public Transport.

There are a number of web sites www.tfl.gov.uk/2012 for general information.

There is a web site for the "Olympic Route Network"  (ORN will be in place for 100 days) this is a route through London for officials and competitors,  making major changes to Roads and Junctions to speed them through London with potential delays for normal traffic www.tfl.gov.uk/orn

The Greater London Authority have a web site with General information www.london.gov.uk and you can click on a number of 2012 sub headings.

Just as a General observation and stating the obvious, avoid the area if possible and in the event that you have to go into the Olympic effected areas, plan your route to avoid closed roads and the ORN roads.
